Important Info for Libby Users!

Important information for patrons who ONLY use digital resources from Superior Public Library:

Starting September 1, 2026, Libby users whose library cards are expired will no longer be able to check out or place holds on their Libby accounts.

If you ONLY use digital resources from Superior Public Library, your library card may be expired. (They expire every year!)

How can you tell if your card is expired? You can check online by visiting superior.northernwaters.org and logging in with your name and library card number. Your library card expiration date can be found by clicking your name in the upper right corner.

Using the NWLN Libraries mobile app? Click “My Details” to view your library card expiration date.

You can also call the library (715.394.8860) during open hours (M-Th, 10 am – 7 pm, Fri, 10 am – 5 pm, Sat, 10 am – 3 pm). Expired library cards can be renewed over the phone in just a couple of minutes!

Why do library cards expire? By asking patrons to renew their library cards on an annual basis, this gives us the opportunity to verify patron information and ensure that it is up-to-date. Please remember to keep us in the loop if you change your name, address, phone number, or email address.
