Read to a Reptile

Oct. 24, Tuesday @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Meet Maxwell! He’s a Blue-tongued skink! And he’d love to hear you read aloud to him!

Join us Tuesday, October 24 at 6 p.m. for Read to a Reptile where young readers are invited to practice reading aloud to Maxwell!

Here are a few facts about Blue-tongued skinks!
They are native to the Australia, Indonesia, and New Guinea regions of the Southern Hemisphere.

They are omnivores and will happily eat meat, plants, insects, eggs, and fruits. While not excellent climbers, blueys are amazing at smelling their prey and will search in burrows and holes to find food.

Maxwell’s favorite foods are blueberries and hard boiled eggs!

This event is with Sarah Glesner from Sacred Serpents.
