Local author Naomi Helen Yaeger will visit the library on March 17 at 10:30 a.m. in celebration of her book, Blooming Hollyhocks: Tales of Joy During Hard Times. She’ll share a humorous St. Patrick’s Day story and read from her book, offering glimpses of everyday life in a Midwest town during the Great Depression. Attendees can make a traditional cornhusk doll and learn about this historic prairie craft. No registration required!
