Artist of the Month
April's artist of the month is Kathy Hubbard.  Kathy is an Assistant Professor of Art Ed. at UWS. Her sculptural display is called 'A World Filled with Plastic Bags', and will be on display through April 30th. 
 
Culver's Coloring Contest | Children's Room
~Calling all ice cream lovers! During the month of April, earn a free Culver's ice cream cone by entering the annual Culver's Coloring Contest.  Entries for kids 11 and under will be available in the Children's Room all month.
 
Craft of the Month | Children's Room
~This month, children will be making cute bunny decorations just in time for Easter!  Stop by the Children's Room anytime this month for supplies.  Take it home or craft at the library - it's up to you!

Let's Talk Lawns: Greening Your Yard
6:00 p.m. | Library's Meeting Room
~Guests from Core Landscaping, UW Extension, Duluth Pet Waste Service, and the City of Superior Environmental Services Division of Public Works will be on hand to teach and answer your questions about healthy lawns and lawn care.  There will also be information on purchasing rain barrels and compost bins.  Don't miss out on this great opportunity for expert advice.

Children's Room launches 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Program

Lego Club
6:00-8:00 p.m. | Children's Room Storyboat
~Thanks to your generous donations, the library’s Lego Club has officially been established!  We provide the Legos, you provide the imagination to make cool Lego creations! The group will meet the first Monday of every month from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Children’s Room Storyboat, with the first session starting May 5th.  No registration is necessary and all ages are welcome.  Just drop in any time between 6 and 8 to meet other LEGO loving kids like you!

Summer Reading Program for Children & Teens Starts Today!
June 16th - August 29th | Children's Room
One great way to keep your children reading this summer is to have them join the Summer Reading Program. Kids and teens will receive reading logs in the Children's Room between June 16th and August 29 to track their summer reading and earn prizes. Kids 11 and under will earn prizes for every four books they read, and after reading sixteen books, they earn a free paperback book! Teens, ages 12-18, will earn a free paperback book after reading eight books. It's as easy as that!

Bike Rodeo
