Sip & Swipe Café

Would you like to learn how to access information, connect with family and friends, and gain confidence when using your tablet or smartphone? Sign up for our upcoming Sip & Swipe Café, bring your mobile device, and enjoy a safe, friendly place to learn at your own pace with a coach ready to assist if needed.
Superior Public Library, in partnership with Generations on Line©, is offering a free Sip & Swipe Café tutorial program for anyone wanting to become more comfortable and confident using tablets and smartphones to get online and explore the internet! At the Sip & Swipe Café, participants will be encouraged to “sip” (grab a coffee or other beverage) and “swipe” (the way we use our fingertips to operate a tablet). A friendly, knowledgeable, and patient coach will work with participants, provide support, and answer questions. You’ll need to bring your own device!
Class size is limited and registration is required. Call 715-394-8860 to sign up, or stop by the library and sign up at the Circulation Desk.

​Register to attend two, two-hour sessions where you will learn the following:
​ – The Basics:  Turning the device on and off, what the buttons mean, and swiping
​- Texting and E-mail
​- Using the Camera and sending Photos
​- Using Skype or FaceTime to video chat
​- Searching the Internet

We’ll be holding separate sessions for Apple and Android users. Please plan to attend both sessions for your particular device.
