On September 12 at 10:30 a.m., author Joy Bashara will visit the library to share her experiences as an English teacher in Siberia following the dissolution of the USSR. Her new memoir, Blanketed in Truth: Lessons from the Land of Winter, is an intimate portrait of bridging divides in a rapidly changing political landscape — and it’s also a story of friendship. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library and copies of her book will be available for purchase. All are welcome to attend.
