September 21, 2023 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Become a family history explorer! Join Marie Mattson, Certified Professional Genealogist®, for a series of FREE classes at the library & learn how to research & discover your ancestors! The first session will be held Thursday, September 21 at 10:30 a.m. and will cover the basics of genealogy and how to avoid common pitfalls.

Genealogy for Beginners is designed to help people interested in exploring their family tree but are not sure how to start or what to do when they get “stuck”. The lessons will help participants plan their research and go about finding the information they need to continue expanding their family story. Examples will be provided as well as hands-on activities and time to work on their own research.
