Join us at the library on September 20 at 6 p.m. for a special evening with Wisconsin author Mary Anne Arendt in celebration of her first book, Ratting On the Fish, her novel about a Finnish family experiencing hard times in Finland who immigrate to northern Minnesota in 1895 in search of better opportunities.

Copies of her book will be available for purchase and refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library.

Author Mary Anne Arendt writes about ordinary people trying to make a living. She graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth and was a public school teacher in Wisconsin and Minnesota. She now lives with her husband in Wisconsin.
