Award-winning authors Anthony Bukoski and Jayson Iwen will visit the library on December 8 at 6 p.m.! Bukoski’s most recent work, The Blondes of Wisconsin, is a collection of short stories that provides an intimate look into the lives of the working-class Polish-Americans who live and love and work in northern Wisconsin. Iwen’s poetry collection, Roze & Blud, examines the intimate thoughts and feelings of Roze Mertha, a teenage girl growing up in a trailer park, and William Blud, a veteran navigating age and loneliness in an apartment he shares with an Afghan refugee. Iwen’s book was recently awarded the Northeastern Minnesota Book Award in the Poetry category. This event is free and open to all, with refreshments provided by the Friends of the Library.
